Visa
Most US, UK, EU and Canadian passport holders need a Ghana visa before travel. Apply early, because processing can take one to two weeks or more in December. ECOWAS citizens don't need a visa.

You must show a yellow fever vaccination certificate on arrival. Talk to a travel clinic about malaria prevention.
Money
Cedi (GH₵). Mobile money (MTN MoMo) is everywhere, and cards work in malls, hotels and bigger restaurants. Carry small notes for beaches, markets and drivers.
