About Tafawa Balewa Square
Tafawa Balewa Square is a large historic ground on Lagos Island. It stands on the former Race Course where Nigeria's independence ceremony took place in 1960. Today it hosts big concerts, parades and events. Its size makes it one of the few Lagos venues that can hold a stadium-scale December crowd.
